Do you believe in eternal rest? I believe that after our death, we are eternally resting. But a woman whom I met at my hospital asked me : "Do you really believe that after we're dead, we're resting? I don't." She said to me, so it raises the question : do we got eternal rest after we die or are we eternally tormented even in spirit form?katos said:I believe in a soul, but not "ghosts" as they are portrayed.
Personally, I believe that when one dies their soul leaves their body and is either reincarnated, or goes on to a realm elsewhere where the "mind" (or soul) continues

Maybe you'll have an experience one day. I've had my fair share of experiences and it's quite livid and scary to be honest. One was when I got chased by a ball of light when I was 14 and chased out of the woods which a friend of mine was there and also saw the whole thing. I was not on drugs.Tagobs said:I neither believe in ghosts nor a human soul. I see that it has been pointed out that nothing should be ruled out, and sure, I agree, in principle. Still, one has to remember to prove that something exists, the burden of proof lies on the ones that believe it. It is impossible to prove that something does not exist (unless it contradicts something that does exist), but that does not make it any more plausible.
If I actually did see a ghost, I'd surely reexamine my view. But first I'd try to rule out being psychotic, being drugged or being asleep.
