Mybb and chat boxes don't go to well together, you well more then likely never see one unless I buy a custom one I like alot.

for an external chatbox thing you could use xat.com its free and can blend in on a site easily :D
Had a deent mybb shoutbox up but the actvity in it was dead.
I'm glad it was removed. It makes the forum look neat and organized.
I agree it looks ugly maybe add a tab to go to it but not on index
I never even got the chance to see it sooooo..
I purchased L33t on HackForums about a day and a half ago and still haven't gotten it. :(
Same for me, I hope Omni upgrades me today.
