I don't know whether to say 5 or 1, because I bought the Humble Bundle. It included Limbo, Bastion, Amnesia, Super Meat Boy, and Lone Survivor.

Id say five, the bundles are always a good deal I think :)
According to my steam profile, I have 915 games on it. Yes, I play a lot of games. Though to be fair, a lot of those game in pretty cheap bundles, or I got for free/on a very heavy discount.
My current game count on Steam by looking at my profile is 1039 games.
I like collecting games because of the fact that if I ever feel bored I can just download one of them and play a little. The diversity you get from having a larger collection really is great.
I have about 25 games, and while there are already a couple of games on there I'll probably never get around to playing (either again, or at all) I don't feel particualry bad about owning any of them.
I've bought two. Left 4 Dead 2 and Civilization V, got them both during the Steam Summer Sale (or whatever it's called)! Both really great games, especially the former. I haven't played it that much recently though because my internet has been messing up so the connection has been super unstable. The rest of my library are gifts.
I honestly don't have many in my library, played a ton on my ex's account- he had close to a thousand, before getting my own account after the breakup. I have like 12 so far, but they're typically games I spend boatloads of hours on or really enjoyed. I hate spending money on stuff I don't use, so I'm kinda picky on what I get. Slowly purchasing games that I enjoyed on his account since I know that they were the best bang for the buck.
I usually only buy games on Steam when there are some cool "Humble Bundles". I mostly download the free to play games on there to test out. A lot of them are actually pretty fun!
The only exception to the humble bundle would be Life is Strange; I paid for this before all the other chapters came out. I watched a few game play videos and wanted it.

My library says I have 18 games and 2 software.
I've bought like probably 20 different Steam account's with CS:GO, and some other games such as Call of Duty etc.
Only GMOD, but I don't play on steam that much.
