Sorry if I'm raining on your parade, but I'm so shocked - didn't we get a Peter Jackson remake a few years back? Though if it's a completely new story, it might be way cool...
I think that done with the right cast and crew, they could make a good King Kong movie. I'm not a fan, but I don't hate King Kong. I would go see it if it was done well.
