Forum Authority

Would you add a blog to your forum?  Why or why not?  Do you think that added a blog to a forum would help the forum or hurt it? 

I think that if you have a forum that has a specific niche', like gaming for instance, then having a blog can help.  You can always use the blog to write about news on gaming, write a review on specific games, etc.  I think something like that wouldn't hurt at all.

I would, but I think it'd be way to much work. It may be a pretty good idea for some smaller forums but as the forum grows I believe it would be very hard to maintain both of them. It may be good for SEO, but if it gets really inactive it could make your site look inactive as well. Especially if that's what users are welcomed with.
