I know that some people have a great problem with trying to gain weight. Metabolism, medication, etc could be large contributors to the situation. In my opinion working out could make you gain weight. Sure you'll burn calories but if you lift weights regularly you will build muscles especially if you eat the right foods. You would want to eat more protein if possible. It's so easy to get caught up with eating out all the time but unfortunately fast food doesn't give you the proper nutrition your body needs. For instance you need to intake more good fats (e.g. avocado, nuts, coconut/olive oil, etc).
