The Trevi Fountain in Rome is one of the most famous fountains in the world, located near the center of the Italian city.Every day thousands of people are throwing coins in that fountain, which equals about 15 000 dollars per week. This makes nearly 1 million dollars per year.
A local charity organization, cleaning the fountain every day are donating the money to people in need.

 The lake at the Bellagio in Las Vegas is collecting about 12 thousand dollars a year. The fountain is cleaned using a giant vacuum that sucks everything from the bottom. The management of the hotel is donating the money to charity.

 

24 Rainforest’s fountains around the world are collecting around 25 000 dollars per year, which are being donated to organizations that are working to protect the environment.18 000 dollars are dumped in the fountains at Disney World in 2014. The entire amount was donated to the children living in foster families.

 

Another interesting fountain – “9/11 Memorial” has gathered almost 3 000 dollars, despite the fact that throwing coins in it is forbidden.

I think its great what they're doing for poorer people on the planet. If everyone were more like them, there'd be no poverty at all. Everybody would have better lives if everyone donated more to everyone else on Earth. Anyways, and like them, I give away my new and unused things as well as my extra savings to charities and other good causes for humanity.
