Samsung has released a statement on Saturday night asking Galaxy Note 7 users to stop using the smartphone or charging it. The US Consumer Product Safety Commission has urged Note 7 users to put their phone off and stop using and charging it any further as soon as they receive the warning.

To give you an idea of how bad it’s getting, major aviation authorities and airlines from North America to Europe and Asia have issued statements against using the Galaxy Note 7 on flights or checking it in with your non-cabin baggage.

Following the reports of the explosion of the device during use or while charging alarmed Samsung. The company then recalled 2.5 million phones last week to inspect the issue with the handset. As soon as the examination indicated serious risk on the Note 7 owners, the company warned airline passengers not to switch on their mobile phones on their journey by air. It also asked them not to charge their mobiles while on board.
