I just installed OpenVPN on my phone and wanted to add some sites to my hosts file (/etc/hosts) so I can connect to them from my android phone.

When I opened the hosts file to add my pages I noticed something interesting.
Over 2000 sites are blocked.

Maybe somebody knows more than I do about this and could tell my they are blocked.

Still it's pretty interesting.

They seem to be either advertising things(lots of banners.website) or maybe malware websites? I am not too sure but that is what it appears from first glance.

Yup, they look pretty fishy.
