I have no problem with my girlfriend having male friends, just as I expect her to have no problems with my female friends. If the trust in the relationship is so low that it becomes a problem, maybe one should not be together at all.

I can't agree more with what you're saying, everyone is entitled to talk or remain friends with the opposite sex.
