Could Instagram Be Serious Competition to YouTube?
Instagram surprised its users by increasing the 15-second limit of its videos to a whopping 60 seconds.
Videos are getting more and more popular on the platform, so Facebook decided that it will be a good idea to increase the length of the videos. But this is not the only reason for this update. We all know that Facebook and Google don’t really like each other, so currently, Facebook is looking for new ways to compete with the internet giant – Google.

The ability to upload videos up to 60 seconds was actually possible, but only for advertisers. Instagram announced that users are spending 40% more time watching videos. With the new update, that number will most likely increase.
Recently Instagram did some more changes, which increased the revenue of the application. According to eMarketer, Instagram’s revenue for 2015 was 600 million. The company is now expecting around 149% increase.
