Call of Duty, Battlefield, etc all have PC versions.

Really?  I didn't know.

Of course, I didn't have a computer at my house till I was in the 8th grade (if I'm not mistaken) and I've had a console in my house since I was in Kindergarden.  That may have something to do with it.  I've had a console for a whole lot longer than I've had a PC.

PC. I prefer keyboard and mouse over controller especially for first person shooters, not that I play a lot of those.

PC gaming is a ton better than console gaming as with consoles you are trapped into eco system which leads to higher prices and restrictive rules that could mean you get less games. Another issue with console gaming is you have to buy another console for upgrades in hardware where on PC you can just upgrade the components that are out of date.

I prefer consoles as they are significantly cheaper then high end gaming PCs yet can still run games with great graphics. Most of my friends also play on consoles, so I prefer consoles for that reason as well.

A console is like an extremely low end gaming PC, the area where this will be the most noticeable when it comes to texture quality.
In GTA a lot of comprises are made to make the game run on low end hardware, for example:
They are less cars and ped’s rendered at the same time. Of those cars rendered they will be less verity.
Texture quality is reduced. (mostly to save on RAM)
Detailed buildings are rendered far closer to the camera leading to pop in
And other minor lighting and reflection downgrades.

I am more of a console gamer myself.  My parents bought a NES for the whole family when I was a kid and that was when my gaming experience began.  I never got into PC gaming.

The consoles I play are generally from Nintendo and I normally play games that are exclusive to Nintendo.

I'd have to see if my PC can handle running such games first before I spend the money on them.
