Got my Toshiba running
#1
So I have an old Toshiba I went to upgrade the processor from a T5450 to a T9300 and I fucked up due to impatience and killed my right side 4 usb ports, misplaced a wire so it was blocking my main hard drive port only secondary was usable and I was missing like 13 screws.

Anyways at 12 AM I took her back apart to do the job properly and got everything in order and working again, I finished at 1 AM.

I am on her right now she is running smooth but it is in desperate need of a SSD upgrade and additional ram.

Current specs:
17.3" TruBrite 1440 x 900
Nvidia GeForce 8700M
Intel T9500 2.50Ghz
500GB WD Scorpio Blue
2GB Ram
Windows 10 Home

Upcoming:
4GB Ram
Crucial MX300 275GB SSD

For bearing nearly 10 years old nope. Couple upgrades and it puts a good run against a bit of modern laptops.

It can handle a Intel X9000 Extreme but that is the biggest compatible processor which is 6MB L2 Cache 2.80Ghz but I didn't want to spend $100 on a processor when I bought the T9300 brand new for $35.

But without a SSD it is slow as fuck. With the 2GB ram it is pushing it but there is about 400mb available.

I am using an 8GB flash drive with ready boost as virtual ram atm.
