What do you expect after the Wii U ?
#1
Nintendo have announced that they’ve already formed a ‘clear idea’ for the Wii U’s successor, indicating that they aren’t out of the console race yet. What do you think that their next console will be called and what new features would you like it to have?

I'm expecting them to step up their hardware ability, and maybe revamp some older Games from older systems in some kind of arcade.

the Wii U was just absolutely awful, I'm hoping for more next gen features on this console, because they seriously need to step up if they want to compete with Microsoft or Sony

Nintendo's next console has been called (so far) the Nintendo NX, and recently news came out that from what development kits can let one deduce, the NX will be pretty powerful as far as hardware goes.
Me, I'm glad with those news! It's about time Nintendo catches up as far as technology goes, and I'd love to see the NX inspire Microsoft and Sony to consider an "S" version for their current consoles!
Apparently the NX is scheduled for a 2016 holiday season release, so it'd be around a year off from now. I'm not thrilled with an expiration date, so to speak, set so soon for the Wii U, but I'm excited to see what the NX can bring to the table.

What do you people think?

I keep hearing that the NX is going to have system specs on par with the Xbox One and the PS4, and I have to say that it's about time. Nintendo thrives on innovation, I understand that, and I don't typically care that much about graphics or system power, but they've been lagging behind in that field for way too long. It's no wonder the Wii U flopped so badly. I don't think I'll bother buying a new Nintendo system anyway - I like their games, but it feels like I just got a Wii U, and it's dusty and unused most of the time.

Stupid Wii U. It had so much potential to be a cool system. Unfortunately, its best games don't need the game pad that much at all.
