Why do you prefer the PC to consoles?
#11
The much higher graphical abilities of the PC goes a long way for me, but even if you throw that away, I love the indie games that appear on the PC. Games like FTL, Paper's Please, and Thomas Was Alone for example are some of the most compelling and fun games I've played in years. They are incredibly simple, but they put game play and story-line in front of graphics and are truly worth their low sales prices.

Also, if we forget about indie games and focus on mainstream it's easy to describe the benefit in a single word: MODS. I didn't like GTA4 at all when it was released, and it's still my least favourite of the whole series, but you can forget all that when you turn on a few fun mods. The mod availability on a PC is amazing and the community behind them is incredible. If you've still got the game kicking around on your PC but haven't checked out LCPDFR I recommend it. It's way more fun than the actual storyline.

I like pc gaming because I don't like paying for games.
I do enjoy playing on console though but I'm happy I got a pc over an Xbox one/play station 4

I used to be more of a console gamer, Xbox 360 in specific, but then it broke and so I got into PC gaming. I like it way better now.
Anytime I try to use an Xbox 360 controller, it's weird for me.

Both have their advantages, with the console you can play comfortably from your couch with your friends, while on PC you have higher quality graphics, free online play and cheaper games. I prefer PC because I like the customization it offers compared to consoles, and the graphics also look better overall (although I wouldn't say that console games look bad).

I prefer the PC for several reasons. One reason is better graphics, and with different programs I can enhance the quality of sound that I get.  Also, I can store as many games as I like on my PC. I do not know if a gaming console will let you store ten or more games on it at a time. I also like the fact that I do not have to mess around with any disks. When you have a gaming console, you have to take disks in, and out of their cases. When you do this it is not uncommon to forget to put them back in, and when this happens you get scratches on the disks. I really hate it when there are scratches on the disk, so I cannot play the game that I want to. Lastly, is the gaming console itself. I have seen this happen with my kids a lot. Someone will be playing the console, and then one of the kids in the family will run by, and accidentally knock it down or over. Not only can this damage the disk inside, but it can damage the unit. I prefer my games downloaded on my PC, so that I don't have to worry about that. I love the PC. What can I say?

I'm kind of on the fence as far as PC and consoles are concerned. I don't care that much about graphical superiority - I just want a game that's fun and works. Both platforms provide that.

These days, though, I find myself playing PC games more and more, because as AresBlade pointed out above, there are so many super-cool indie games out right now that are far more fun than the big name titles. I would play Dwarf Fortress or FTL over Assassin's Creed or Halo just about any day of the week. Particularly since I can play them on my laptop, in bed, where the air conditioning is strongest. Woot.
