There are a lot of words and phrases that have been used to describe the Mac App Store. One that comes to mind is ‘ghost town,’ used largely because there are some really solid apps for the Mac that aren’t in the store. But why are developers leaning away from the App Store?

I'm confused.  I read through the article but I'm not sure I understand exactly what they are referring to (perhaps because I don't own a Mac).  Do Macs have their own app store?  I have an iPhone but the last words I would use to describe the app store are 'ghost town'.  I'd use those words for my friends' android stores, if anything.

If it's referring to Mac computer apps then I could see where they're coming from.  Although not owning one myself I can't judge it.

I would assume their is a Mac only Store / Section since a mac would run different then an iphone, I'd agree the iphone market isnot a ghost town, Windows phone was when I had one though.
