So... it was announced today that the newest games, Pokemon Sun and Moon, will be released during the fourth quarter of 2016! Who's excited?

Also can't wait for Pokemon Go to be released. I wish they would give us a release date on that.

I am! I hope that the new Pokemon will have cool designs, and that the game will be awesome!
I really liked the promo movie... I'm always touched by how Nintendo always reaches out to both new and old fans.
I'm the most excited for Pokemon Go, though. I'm still sort of worried that the game will have tons of micropayments :(

They're still good games, but your options are limited even more, as there are no abilities, no held items, no extra areas like the Sevii Islands, far fewer moves, a greatly reduced item capacity on your backpack, and less pokemon once you reach the end of the game. They're still enjoyable in a pinch, but by comparison they're objectively worse than the remakes, let alone many of the older games. Some players like the more streamlined approach of the originals, but I have no desire to go back and play them.

Yea I couldn't even bring myself to play the originals. I just picked the most logical choice by playing the remakes which are the same except with colors and probably much more refined gameplay experience.

Btw, Pokemon Sun and Moon announced yesterday, for those who didn't know. So excited for these. I just need to buy a 3DS now.
Edit: Didn't notice someone else mentioned it. *selfslap*

Yeah, I'm kind of curious about the new Pokémon games, let us see what's new there :). (Time to get a 3DS).

I'm curious to see what country/place they choose to base the new region off of. Some people are speculating Spain or Hawaii. (Where they are getting that from, who knows. Lol.)

In that Nintendo Direct video, it also showed the wireframe for the new bird Pokemon, which looks like a woodpecker. About time! That always seemed like an obvious animal choice to me.

Don't necessarily play the game myself, but I know a few people who play pokemon go.
