Getting Xbox Series X or Playstation 5 when it releases?
#1
Yes both are supposed to release sometime towards the end of this year. I'm super excited for one main reason that Halo 6: Infinite is supposed to release on launch date of the Xbox Series X. Personally I'll be getting the Series X.

If your new to what that is, basically the next gen console. Unlike the Xbox One X (as opposed to the Series X) this actually is next-gen.

Xbox Series X is supposed to be compatible with all Original Xbox, Xbox 360 and Xbox One titles including discs and all Xbox One accessories. PS5 will be compatible with PS4 games only but at least they'll have that.

Anyways it's supposed to support like 8K resolution later into the life cycle. Thoughts?

I have my suspicions that they'll delay the release dates for these consoles, atleast in the UK, mainly because the UK economy has crumbled since this covid-19 fiesta. I deffinately won't be spending my savings on a brand new console.

I might buy the xbox series x console sometime in the new year, i'm not really a fan of the Playstation series.

Me neither. Not a fan of playstation either. Not sure why I chose Xbox. Probably has something to do with the fact that Halo was an exclusive. As for it getting delayed, that may be possible though I know when 2 companies are competing so drastically to be the better of the 2 then it's inevitable that it will probably at least release close to the time. Xbox was talking november. I can see it getting delayed until december possibly but I'm sure it will be out by christmas.

Also I can see why buying it right away isn't a big deal as well. Either way you could get it anytime. The fact that you can play your old games on it is enough for me. That and I can sell my Xbox One X to buy more games is a pretty decent deal.
