Where did you go to get your PS3 jail broken?  I got mine done in the Philippines.  Paid $30 usd and it came with 3 free games of my choice.  Games are sold at $1.25, $2.50, and $5 bucks.  Depending on the file size of each game.  Can't beat that.  Or can you?
I did all my consoles my self. I got an E3 flasher for 50$ then I buy some consoles that I know are downgradable but I check to make sure using the usb checker. Then I downgrade them and put all the games on my external onto there 1 TB HDDs :) then I sell the console for 250 and buy two new ones.

Oh nice. Make that money. Too much misleading info on the net. I would do it myself, but I didn't want to mess it up on my first rodeo.
Yeah makes sense to worry about messing it up lol. Its really not hard since there is no soldering. I learned from a video where the guy hardly spoke english xD so it takes time lol but very simple once you know how.

I've never jailbroken either of my PS3's. Do you run a lot of homebrew apps, or is it completely for backups Diamond? I've considered doing it since both of my consoles are well out of warranty now, but I just don't know if it'll give me any value. Is there a good resource for the benefits of jailbreaking?
Do you realize that jailbreaking it is illegal? But everyone is doing that, so you should be just fine.
You got a nice little business going there, If one were to buy a PS3 Jail broken, what could I expect to do with it?

I do homebrew apps and back ups. But I hardly do apps anymore, I do enjoy a game of flappy birds.

Jailbreaking is not "Illegal" its 100% legal. The only thing that is illegal is when you Torrent a game. Basically stealing I do not torrent games I buy my games. Therefor what I do isn't illegal. Just makes sony mad :)

A lot of things, copy your games so you dont play with discs, run custom apps, change the OS to linux, mod games etc. There truly is a lot to do with a jailbroke ps3.

Capabilities Of Owning a JailBroken PS3:

Making money from hosting lobbies.

- Call Of Duty (Prestige Lobbies, All Unlocks, Mod Menus ETC - Most people do $5 up to $30)
- GTA5 (Give Money ; Ranging from $1 up to $25,000,000) - Prices I've seen from $20-$50 (Depending on the amount you want).

It's a good way In which to make revenue and give something to the community from the greedy sony bastards, yet at the same time if you're caught you get banned (I believe you're unable to unban yourself anyways ; might only apply for xbox I don't remember).
I'm just hearing about jailbreaking for the first time. I had to look up what it means. Doesn't that open it up to hackers? If you are messing with the settings, doesn't that go beyond the scope of the protection for the device?
