There is nothing better and more advanced than Invision Power Board. I have to say that the Admin Control Panel from the 3.4.x versions are much better in my opinion than the Admin Control Panel from 4.x. But beside that there are tons of custom themes, hooks, applications, snippets and whatsoever. I've been posting much Invision Power Board related things on another forum which is also using this forum software. Things like custom packs with, themes, hooks, applications, snippets, forum ranks and forum rank images, award images and much more. The thing I like about IPB the most is the management system, it is very user friendly. So if you want to create a new rank just follow the steps and you'll get it done. You can get each rank a rank image which will be seen in each post, same as this forum. Custom permissions and much more. There are so many different features, too much to count and tell you about. Beside this I do respect your opinion about it and I know not everyone likes it. But hate is a big word. I'm curious about what features you hate about IPB.. Anyways, I liked to read this topic and I also like to give my opinion about it. :) " Once I heard Rocks, all of a sudden I understood what life was about. Forgive me for not liking it like you, but yeah. Personally dont think you can blame that on the software itself ... But, there are some simply stunning themes for IPBoards. Personally, i've been looking at the next-generation softwares, so looking at NodeBB, Flarum etc. I do however, find IPBoards to be very powerful and adaptable, and personally I do like it - so long, ofcourse, as it is run properly without going overboard on the theme / hooks etc. "I'm a gamer, not because I don't have a life... How are they? I can see your point, but I can dislike it yes? |
