Do gamertags imply just Steam, Xbox, etc?
The first game I bought for my first PC and first game that needed a username was Warcraft II: Battle Net Edition. Man, I'm old. My handle was Mc.hammer. I use to shout "HAMMER TIME" in games like a nerd. I remember the period being a thing because eventually the nick-name evolved into Mc. Hammer nuggets. Then I joined a 'guild' and on both Starcraft and Warcraft my name was like =_OmegaDragn_= or whatever the heck it was. Yes, they had underscores and lacks of O's. That much I do remember.
Ah, the good old days.

That is quite a while ago.
I think the first time I playing anything online was Phantasy Star Online.
Never really got in to online gaming until Call of Duty:World at War, and that was only because my friends all played and I was the odd man out.
These days I eat up online play of a game has it and it's worth my time.
I've been either Affray, 0Affray0 or Affray1001 for everything I've ever played.
