Have you ever listened to Taylor Swift?
#11
Taylor Swift is probably my favorite female artist. Sounds weird when I say it out loud, but it's true. I really like how she writes her songs from a girl's perspective - it makes me feel like I can understand them, the way they think, better. Plus being a sucker for pop music, I generally like most of her songs too. She sounds much better than some of her peers - Rihanna & Katy Perry, for example. FourFiveSeconds was terrible, and American Oxygen was also underwhelming. I wish she would go back to her 'Only Girl' times. Katy is mostly horrible because she keeps making songs like 'Birthday' & 'Roar' when she could have made more songs like 'Dark Horse'. She's been extra bad lately.

The first time I heard of her was from memes lol. Apparently she's famous for singing about her exes, which are apparently not few either. The only song I ever heard from her was the one that was used as an credits song for Hunger Games Catching Fire movie, can't recall the name at the moment, but I loved that song. I tried listening to her other music but nothing really caught my ear. Maybe that song only sounded good because I used the lyrics of that song to paint a picture of the movie characters with it, if you know what I mean. I mean the song with the movie is just really sad and emotional when you put it in that context.

I have heard a few songs. She seems to have a good voice, but whoever is in charge of her image seems to downplay that with terribly written songs. They seem to want to focus more on her looks and past relationships. If they wrote better songs for her, I might listen to her. She's a bit sugary pop for my tastes, though.

I've always disliked her, though some bits of her lyrics are nicely written. I can't stand her smug face.
I remember giving 1989 a shot, because everyone on Sputnikmusic was singing high praise of it.
I was really annoyed by Wildest Dreams, which was an obvious rip of Lana Del Rey's Without You.
I much more like Ryan Adams' cover album.
