Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Remastered
#1
Rumors of an Xbox 360 version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas began to circulate yesterday with the leak of new achievements for the game, and now Rockstar has confirmed that GTA: San Andreas is getting its own re-release on Microsoft's last-gen system.
Astute gamers may have noticed that the Xbox Originals version of the game available in the Xbox Marketplace has gone missing. Rockstar explained the removal as a sort of out-with-the-old, in-with-the-new. While the original version will never be available again on the Marketplace, Rockstar has gone ahead and made it available as a purchasable game through the Games on Demand service starting October 26.

The company promises that this isn't a mere change in how gamers can purchase the game. The graphics have been improved, supporting 720p resolution, improved draw distances, and as the achievement list leak already revealed, full achievement support.

In addition to the revealed list, there are an additional 11 secret achievements to unlock in San Andreas.

Rockstar is celebrating 10 years since the release of GTA: San Andreas with a special celebratory weekend in Grand Theft Auto Online that will include special clothing, discounts, and double RP and double GTA$.

San Andreas is one of my favorite games, in the whole fucking world so I'd love to play this.

This is awesome. San Andreas was one of the best games in the series and I think it would look great if it got a graphical upgrade. It would be even better if they could make it look more like GTA V graphically but that would probably take years.

I see why die-hard fans would want this but honestly, I've played the game and I'm done with it now. The GTA games are fun to run around in again after you've completed them but I wouldn't want to go and re-purchase the game. I didn't even bother purchasing GTAV on PC when it came out because I already have it on PS3. Lots of my friends did though so there is definitely a market there.

I like when they update the graphics on games. I wish that the remastered games would have something more to offer, though, like when they do Game of the Year editions. I'm not saying to have a prize or something, but maybe some new unlockables, or some other incentive to play a game that I've already played.

I wish they'd release a GTA San Andreas with the same engine and graphics as GTA V. In other words, a GTA V with the story, setting, and characters of San Andreas. I always love re-visiting this game and I never find myself able to delete it from my harddisk because of that.

Oh, that would be MUCH cooler than just a HD remaster.
I know that plenty of people loved San Andreas, it was sort of iconic, at least where I live.
