My favorite game is actually a Ps2 title. Star Ocean 3: Till The End Of Time. I had played a lot of RPG's at this point in my life but I had never gotten as sucked into any game as much as I did with this one.
The game was unbelievably expansive considering that it was made in a time before DLC, I put around 600 hours into the game before I stopped playing and every few years I'll go back and play through it again. I'm still waiting for them to release it as a classic on the Ps3/Ps4

Bioshock! The graphics are great, and so is the gameplay. The entire environment of Rapture seems like a huge art gallery, and there's so much to explore. To add to that, there's so many ways you can finish the game, so the replay value is good too. I appreciate the kinds of games that give you good replayability as well as a good level of freedom on how you want to go through with the game. And of course, let's not forget the story. The Bioshock storyline is excellent, and it makes the gameplay a lot more exciting and engaging.
