Sites look a bit "ugly" today? Well that's because TypeKit was down part of the day! Many websites utilize this font host, and when it goes down their sites don't look to great most of the time. Unless they had fallback fonts installed, such as Arial.

I believe it being down caused the font's they hosted they to not show up right, unless you had default fonts installed on said site.
