People should see other opinions, no point closing it when other people can give their two cents.

Yeah, definitely don't close it. I'm happy to debate with people on here because I have fun doing so, but if others want to just post their opinions without getting into it, of course that's fine too.

I prefer not to answer and don't ask me why.

So why respond? Lol

I do believe in god, it was instilled in me from a very young age and I continue to believe it, nothing said or done will change my belief. Except maybe some cookies and cream ice cream....

Hated the fact that parents indoctrinate children with their beliefs at a young age..

I absolutely hate that too, especially when it's enforced at home. Makes me foam from the mouth.

I don't understand the repulsion from it. I think it's okay to teach your children what you believe, don't see it as anything different from teaching your morals or philosophies.
And in cases of religious extremists, I think in a lot of cases it backfires. Kids with bad childhoods might see their parents and not want to grow up to be like them, so they abandon their beliefs. Happened with all 5 of my extremely religious conservative grandmother's sons. Just a generalization, of course.

Richard Dawkins sums it up beautifully:

I don't like that idea, mostly because they target young children, which don't know what's going on. They just take their parents advice because they are their parents, same goes for teaching your kids that killing ins't wrong. lol.
