I'm thankful for this thread, because recently I've felt like playing Sims, but I only played 1 and 2, so didn't know which I should start with. I think I'm gonna play
Sims 3. How exactly is 3 better than 4?  Is it a matter of better add-ons, or something else? I would be thankful if someone chimed-in!

I think sims 3 has more add-ons and some pretty cool stuff, but sims 4 well be having more add-ons as the year goes on.

If I were you I'd probably get sims 4.

Huh, for now I'll get Sims 3 and see what add-ons will come out for 4.
I'm really interested in playing Medieval - I've always liked the more quirky Sims add-ons.

I'm one of those odd people that doesn't like to play the Sims. I enjoy the creation aspect but not the gameplay.

I would actually say the Sims 4 just for the expansion packs. I personally loved the Get to Work expansion. Actually being able to do things at your Sims career, like the police officer one with solving crimes, etc, was exactly what I'd wanted for a long, long time.

Honestly, I don't play any Sim games. Never even tried them out tbh.
